What Would Lure Him Back?

“I don’t miss the dressing room per se, yet sharing a meal alongside the squad talking freely, I appreciate that. Success was frequent thus frequently great spirits around the place. I can still hear the captain's chuckle ringing in my ears as an instance.”
Praise for His Successor
He commended regarding Arne Slot, praising him due to the changes that won the league last term. Liverpool have lost four consecutive matches in every contest following significant transfers, but he rubbished the idea it could be a slump.
“[Liverpool have] an incredible striker like Florian Wirtz, critics will regret if you use the wrong words. An outstanding player. [Hugo] Ekitike, incredible player. It’s a really good balanced team. No need for concern regarding the Reds, things will improve.”
Heartfelt Words for Diogo Jota
Klopp also spoke emotionally about the death of the Portuguese star, a player he signed in 2020, and its impact on Liverpool. The Portugal international lost his life in a car crash together with his sibling recently.
“Can you substitute somebody like Diogo? It’s not about his on-field talent, his personality mattered. It's hard to picture the team environment without him in it. I still cannot speak properly about it. A devastating blow for his teammates too. No one within the club would cite it for poor performances though it's a fact. Entering the changing area where his spirit remains. Dealing with that emotionally is challenging. Impossible.”
