Three individuals lost their lives and at least nine others sustained injuries in Ukraine's latest attack on the Russian border region of Belgorod, according to local officials.
The deaths happened after an attack on the village of Maslova Pristan early on Wednesday, authorities reported. First responders were persisting in looking for people feared trapped under wreckage.
For the third day in a row that Ukraine has targeted the territory, causing numerous residents lacking electricity and at least two other people dead.
Multiple Strikes Lead to Harm
The Wednesday wave of missile and drone strikes destroyed residences, vehicles and energy systems in multiple districts of Belgorod, according to authority reports.
Officials released photographs from Maslova Pristan revealing a athletic facility with its roof and walls blown apart, and stated that rescue workers were removing wreckage and assessing the damage.
